Estes 7263 Flying Model Rocket Kit for Hex-3

To build the Hex-3, you will need a set of tools, including scissors, a pencil, a ruler, carpenter's glue, a hobby knife, and masking tape. These construction and finishing supplies are not included with the kit.

For the launch, you will need to purchase additional items separately. These include the Estes Porta-Pad II Launch Pad, the Electron Beam Launch Controller, Estes model rocket engines, starters, and recovery wadding. Additionally, four high-quality 1.5V AA alkaline batteries are required for the launch controller.

The Space Twister flying 7263 rocket kit, on the other hand, comes with high-quality Estes body tubes, laser-cut wood fins, a molded plastic nose cone, a colorful pre-assembled parachute, and easy-to-apply water-slide decals. This rocket stands just over 2 feet tall and requires approximately 4-6 hours to build and paint.

When powered by a C6-5 engine, the Space Twister rocket can corkscrew its way to an impressive altitude of 900 feet. The 7263 rocketry from Estes is recommended for ages 10 and up, with adult supervision required for those under 12.
