The Estes 2222 Launch Pad and Porta-Pad Controller II, Red, comes complete with a blast deflector, standoff stem, two-piece 1/8 in. launch rod, and launch rod cap. The launch direction can be adjusted 30 degrees from vertical and can accommodate a 3/16 in (5 mm) Maxi Launch Rod, sold separately. Minor assembly is required, and no glue or tools are needed. The Launch Controller includes a 17 ft (5.2 m) cable and requires 4 new 1.5V 'AA' alkaline batteries, sold separately. This controller is great for launching all mini, standard (A-C), and D powered rockets.

Estes 2274 Recovery Wadding is a flame-resistant wadding required in most Estes rockets, unless they are tumble recovery. The package contains 75 sheets, enough for about 18-25 flights, and is absolutely necessary to launch model rockets. The flame-resistant wadding protects the recovery system.

The Launch Pad has an item package dimension of 2.0" L x 6.6" W x 20.5" H and a weight of 15.9 lb. No glue or tools are needed for its minor assembly.
